Pauline's Study Abroad to Italy !

My name is Pauline Garza and I am a 22-year-old full time student at Washington State University Tri-Cities in The Carson College of Business, who has just been accepted to study abroad in Italy.

I started this Go Fund Me Account and am asking for your help. I feel the opportunity to study abroad this coming summer is a once in a lifetime experience that every inspired Chef, like myself, should do. I whole heartedly feel that I have made it to where am I today, a soon to be college graduate and a kitchen manger, all thanks to the amount of support from individuals who continue to inspire and encourage me in different ways. The journey that I am about to take was not something I ever thought could be possible for a small town girl like me. Let me tell you a little about the program and why it is so important for me.

I have been given the opportunity to study abroad with Washington State University to the beautiful country of Italy as I finish up my bachelors in Hospitality Business Management. The program begins May 13, 2016 in Rome, Italy and finishes on June 24, 2016. During those 43 days, I will travel from Rome to Clinque Terre, then to Modena, and Tuscania, and end my trip in Florence, Italy, where I will be with 15 other WSU students who are also pursing a degree in the business of hospitality.

During my time there, I will be enrolled in 15 credits at the Apicius International School of Hospitality in Florence, Italy, where I will gain hands-on training in Italian cuisine and wine, while train in business operations at Ganzo, a student-operated restaurant in the city center. I plan to take these learned skills and implement them in my career back in the Pacific Northwest. I feel honored to be the very first WSU Tri-Cities Hospitality Business graduate and promise to proudly and respectfully represent the next generation of hospitality professionals as opportunities such as this one come my way.  The beautiful thing about life is that we were never meant to go on this journey alone, so I plan to keep all of you who are interested updated during my days in Italy and my experience learned.  Your donation is not simply supporting this trip but rather is an investment in my passion, my life, and my career.

I believe that with God, anything is possible. He gave me this burning passion for the food industry, and now He is leading me to Italy. If you cannot support me financially, please take the time to pray for me and those who will be with me in this Program as we journey ahead toward future goals and dreams.
