Hi, meet our mom Pauline, she’s 58 yrs old and a 9 year breast cancer survivor.  She’s artistic, caring and has helped out many others ever since we can remember.  She wears her heart on her sleeve.  She is a wife to our papa, Gilbert, who will celebrate 39 years of marriage on August 15th.  She is a maman, a grandmaman, a sister, a daughter and a caring friend.


2020 has been a trying hard year for everyone.  Everyone has a journey, a struggle and a battle.  This past year our maman has been experiencing severe pain, but pushed it off to the side thinking the osteoarthritis was getting worse. A few months later, after a concerning health issue she decided to go get a follow up.  After several tests, they all revealed that the problem was stage 4 metastatic breast cancer which has spread to her bones.  Our mom has one huge tumour in her femur and many small tumors clustered at the base of the femur, the bone cancer has also spread to her spine and skull. She is currently on bed rest until she hears back from the surgeon for her surgery date to get a rod placed in her femur in order to stabilize the bone and avoid fracture. Pauline is her positive self, defining strength, despite dealing with the pain.  Within minutes of being told the news of her new diagnosis, her life changed instantly.  She can’t work, she can’t drive, and she needs to use a transport wheelchair.  Due to the recent diagnosis, earning extra income has come to a stop and our parents will need some extra financial help. Our Papa will be the primary caregiver for our Maman during this challenging time.


The money raised will help provide our parents with the cost of extra expenses at this time. The donations will go towards things they will need as time goes such as adaptive items for assisting with mobility, for medications, treatments, therapies and extra personnel expenses.
