Our amazing and super hardworking farmers’ market manager, Pauline Rescorl, needs our help.

A few weeks ago, her husband and partner in Seven Mornings Farm, Justin, went to the doctor for a lump on his neck, and suddenly their lives were in complete upheaval when he received the diagnosis of aggressive thyroid cancer. He immediately underwent an emergency tracheostomy to allow him to breathe since the tumor was so severely impeding his airway.

In the middle of their summer harvest season (and while she’s ALSO healing from a broken wrist!), Pauline, Justin, and their daughter Bella have had to move in with Pauline’s mother in Fayetteville so they can be close to the hospital.

Pauline works harder than anyone I know at three different jobs, but right now her life is on pause while they deal with almost daily appointments to learn what happens next and what this diagnosis means for their family.

I’m hoping this fundraiser can relieve Pauline of some of the stress of being away from work and the farm while medical bills pile up, so she can just focus on supporting her husband and being with her family. Dealing with a cancer diagnosis is more than enough stress already.

Pauline is the kind of person who arranges to help everyone else, but would definitely try to handle her own crises all alone if possible. This one is an all-hands-on-deck situation, though, and a great chance for us to show her we’ve got her back, too!!
