Pauline dalton

Hi I am Pauline’s niece Toni and I’m kindly asking people who had the pleasure of knowing her too donate towards her funeral as I can not afford to do this alone.

I have around 10 days to raise as much as I can towards the target above . the funeral is around £4500. We are already doing other things to raise money and as everyone will appreciate a lot of peoples funds have been spent on Christmas…

Pauline passed on the 30/12/2024 I can give no more details at this time….

She was the daughter of ray and pat and had 5 siblings Kevin, Micky , Jeffrey, David and della. Sadly Kevin Micky and della have all passed away including Pauline’s parents many years ago…

Pauline was born in Ockendon and grew up in ernan road and dart green and also lived as an adult in Broxburn drive and for around the last 30 years copperbeech road.

Pauline was probably known by many as a crazy lady or a bit of a fruit loop but all that being said she was very much loved and liked… she had the most kindest heart

Which sadly many took advantage off and throughout her life she was vulnerable and thought people were kind like herself.

reading entries into Pauline’s diary she had wrote was a very hard read and had me in tears many times… as she new people took advantage off her but again she either gave them the benefit of the doubt or new there was no way she could get her money back….

one entry in her diary says I had £6000 so and so burrowed this and that I’ve now had to get a £2000 overdraft what am I going to do they keep fobbing me off and I know I’m not going to be repaid. I’m so lonely I wish my mum and dad was still here….

This shows how vulnerable as a lady in her 60s she was…she died having nothing….

we all know pauline had her demons but that is what comes with being vulnerable. I’ve spoke to a lot of people since her passing and I’ve only heard kind words…

she was the first to help anyone apparently according to her neighbours if there was a death in the street she was the first to do a door to door raising funds.

I remember when I lived in a children’s home in south ockendon and Pauline would always let me stay at hers when I ran away then take me back to be honest although I have a big family Pauline was my only aunt I had contact with because she was kind crazy loving and honest and who you saw is who she was… people like her are hard to find because she was one of a kind who left many very devastated by her passing…

Pauline was also known as Pauline Cobb after marrying Keith Cobb many years ago later divorcing but remaining best friends.

Pauline had no children but was very much a dog lover. She sadly leaves behind toby a Romanian rescue she had for many years.

toby is also looking for a home from the kind lady who runs the rescue Pauline first got him from details are on my facebook toni dalton….

I would appreciate any donations big or small too give this lady the send off she so greatly deserves…
