Paula's Plea: A New Home for Alex's Healing
Donation protected
My name is Paula Pearce and my 33-year-old son, Alex Mical, was in a motorcycle accident on May 13th. He had a seizure while driving, dropped the bike, and landed into the wall of the Holden Beach bridge. He has been in ICU since then. Through CT scans and MRIs, the surgical team could see the extensive damage his spine and body received from the crash. They implanted a device in his spine to stimulate his muscles to keep the rods, pins, and screws in place to repair the multiple fractures in his vertebrae. Unfortunately, his spinal cord was severed just below his chest, and he has no sensation or movement from there down. Praise God that he is still alive and received no head injuries. However, this is going to be a long journey and an expensive undertaking. I've always lived a simple and meager life, and neither I nor he have the financial means to get his life situated. We will need a wheelchair-accessible home and the means to get through all of these challenging times we are now facing. The funds will be used to do all that needs to be done. First, purchasing my home and making the modifications necessary for him to be able to withstand and endure this journey, and also any medical bills that come our way. I'm placing this battle in God's capable hands, and I have faith that He will bring us out triumphantly on the other side. I am claiming a miracle and know that there will be testimony to God's glory and show His power towards those who believe. Thank you in advance to any and all who donate to our journey. God bless you all.
