{NEW GOAL}
I will start with expressing gratitude for your consideration and generosity in helping me make this exhibition event possible, to give back, to award creatives, and to honor Mrs. Turner.
Hola Everyone, My name is Diana! In short, I took Art class all four years at Eastwood High School with the incredible Mrs. Paula Turner, an inspiring art historian and teacher. Now, 25 years later, as a practicing visual artist and educator, I am curating an art exhibition to celebrate the profound influence Mrs. Turner had on so many of us. Because of her, many of us continued a creative journeys to this day.
<3 If Mrs. Turner were still with us, to witness this exhibition—or to see what her students have accomplished over the years—she would be so proud!
Help Me Give Back !
I am crowdfunding and need your support to pay it forward:
- High School Student Art Scholarship Award – $1,000
- Exhibition Event Expenses – $900 (we can dream)

Why This Matters
Aside from my parents moving us to the U.S. in the late '90s,
Mrs. Turner was THE reason for many of my opportunities.
✅ She made me Art Club President (no choice, just trust!).
✅ She got me my first paid mural—on a school bus!
✅ She pushed me to apply (or applied for me) for scholarship awards.
✅ I boarded my first airplane at 18 and toured D.C. & the White House.
✅ I won the Student Portfolio Award & Congressional Student Art Award in 2000.
✅ I learned invaluable art techniques.
✅ I stayed “sane” and out of “trouble.”
✅ I went to college.
✅ I still make art and teach today.
✅ I care deeply about education and students.
✅ And so much more…
Would you join me in keeping her legacy alive?
My vision is to make this an annual exhibition and scholarship fund to continue honoring Mrs. Turner’s impact for years to come. This is how we begin!
