help Paula cover costs after a medical emergency

Hi my name is lainie and I’m fundraising for my friend Paula and her family!

Paula wanted to take her family and mum on the trip of a lifetime to Scotland. Unfortunately Paula’s mum became ill on the day before they were due to return home. It ended up being a ruptured appendix that ended up being septic and gangrenous. During recovery and a bit of time Paula’s mum was getting more and more unwell so needed another hospital trip. This ended with them finding out that she now had a collapsed lung and pneumonia. another hospital stay and lots of extra funds needed to cover hotels and food etc that was completely unexpected and still with no end in sight. Waiting for medical clearance and the insurance company to get things organised has been a long process.

insurance will cover the return flights but there is no guarantee that accommodation will be covered not to mention all the added expenses of living in a hotel room and needing to feed your family. It has been such a stressful time for Paula and having to come home with a massive debt hanging over the family’s head is just going to cause more stress and heartache. Please donate to help relieve some of the stress and financial burden that this family will be coming home to.
