A few years ago, Paul Appley was diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) which is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. Paul has fought this battle every day with positivity, a sense of humor, and with the help of the ALS Foundation . Each day has it's challenges, but with the support of his loving family & friends, each day gives us hope.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need.
