A Final Recording with Paul Stephens
Donation protected
Our dear friend and musician-extraordinaire Paul Stephens, has sadly become aware that his departure from this world will be sooner than planned, due to an aggressive form of cancer.
Please support this final recording project with Paul Stephens and his friends, as they work toward the production of the song entitled "I'm Gonna Pray," written by his friends Paul Gatien and Leah DeForrest.
Paul will record his incredible bass playing at The Woodshop Recording Studio in Duncan, BC, with longtime friends Lonnie Powell (drums), Ivan Zenovitch (electric guitar), and Teri Elson (aka Teri Lynn-Puckett), with producer Matthew Lien. Additional recording will happen in the Yukon with more musician-friends, with mixing and mastering in California.
Once completed, the song will be released as a single on mainstream platforms, and as part of the album Full Circle by Matthew Lien.
Royalties from "I'm Gonna Pray" will support ArtsCan Circle, a non-profit chosen by Paul Stephens. ArtsCan Circle opens pathways of opportunities for First Nations, Innu, Inuit, and Métis youth to collaborate with artists, access instruments and artistic tools, and share their stories through creative expression.
Funds raised are ONLY for costs associated with The Woodshop recording sessions and artist fees in Whitehorse. Matthew's own producing fees, studio time at his Whispering Willows recording in Whitehorse, and California mixing and mastering, will be contributed by Matthew Lien. All funds raised above and beyond these recording costs will go toward ArtsCan Circle.
Thank you for your love and support for this amazing musician.
