Title: Help Give Paul Starling the Farewell He Deserves
It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Paul Starling, aged 53. Paul grew up in Beeston, Nottingham, and despite being born with spina bifida and wheelchair-bound, he faced life’s challenges with courage, determination, and a wicked sense of humour.
Paul tragically lost his wife six years ago and, with no close relatives able to support him financially, now faces the grim reality that there are no funds to cover his funeral.
Paul was a man of many passions. He loved Metallica and all rock music, enjoyed playing guitar, and had a keen interest in computers. He was also a big Harry Potter fan, showing a childlike wonder and imagination that never faded. Those who knew him remember the laughter he brought, the music he loved, and the joy he shared with friends.
We are asking for help to give Paul the dignified farewell he deserves and a funeral that honours his life, celebrates his passions, and allows friends and the community to pay their respects.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to covering funeral costs and ensuring Paul receives the goodbye he truly deserves.
Let’s come together to give this incredible man a proper farewell, one that reflects the laughter, music, and love he shared with all of us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support you can give.
