Paul Shrubb

Tax deductible
I'm raising money for the Phyllis Tuckwell hospice in memory of my friend Paul Shrubb.
Having been diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2006 the hospice gave him such fantastic care right up until we lost him on 28th May 2020.
This is my way of thanking them for all they did and to pay tribute to a person that was loved by so many.
Paul football career began at the age of 15 when he joined Fulham, he then went to South Africa after being persuaded by the great Bobby Moore to join him at Hellenic.
His return home saw him join Brentford and go on to make 182 appearances.
His Aldershot debut came against Tranmere Rovers in 1982 making 202 appearances over 5 years. He does have the honour of being the only player to play in every shirt number for Aldershot.
After his playing career was over Paul had several spells coaching at various clubs before returning back to Aldershot town fc in 1992, although his position at the club was a coaching role he did go on to make 31 appearances. He also has the honour of being the only manager to have a 100% record after taking the care taker role for 1 match.
Paul remained an ardent Shots fan and would be seen at the rec for all home games. A true Aldershot legend who is truly missed by all.
