8/5 UPDATE SURGERY TODAY, CHECK FOR NEWS
Last week, Paul was diligently working in a client’s yard when he began to feel dizzy. He brushed it off, took a short rest, and returned to his landscaping duties. The following day, while shopping with his wife Kirsten, he felt nauseous. The condition worsened in the car, prompting Kirsten to rush him to the nearest hospital in Vallejo. There, it was discovered that Paul had been experiencing heart attacks for several days and was in the midst of another one. His arteries were found to be 100% blocked. Immediate stent placement was followed by further testing, and he has since been transferred to UCSF Hospital, awaiting open-heart surgery.
Paul is a familiar face in our community, working locally through my business, Cadiz Vacation Rentals, and with several of his own clients. He left his 30-year career as an Optician and his daily commute to San Francisco to spend more time with his family and friends.
This unexpected medical emergency has placed Paul and his family in significant financial distress. They reside in a cherished family home in Inverness, which they bought about 15 years ago. Kirsten, a chef at The Fork, Giacomini Ranch, and Paul, who cater together on the side, are well-known for their hard work at various events.
Paul is truly a remarkable individual, known for his hardworking nature and sunny disposition. He is easy to like, always willing to lend a hand, and is kind and generous.
Paul is now in need of our support in any way we can. The loss of his income is substantial. We kindly ask you to contribute at a level that feels comfortable to help one of our beloved community members, Paul Sheehan.
We will provide more updates following his surgery next week. Thank you so much. Meg
