As some of you may or may not know, Shelley's dad was admitted to the hospital Friday evening due to a massive stroke that affected the left side of his brain, making him unable to communicate and unable to move the right side of his body. While being on life support for a few days, she has made the very difficult decision, due to his personal wishes, to be taken off life support and let him go when he chooses the time is right.

His whole life, he has told her and everyone else his wishes were not to spend the rest of his life in a facility or nursing home getting help to do everyday things (bathing, eating, etc.). She took him off of life support Monday night, and he has been able to breathe on his own, and his vitals have been stable. She is going to stick around the East Coast as long as she can to try and be with him when he chooses his time has come.

She isn't one to ask for support, but she and her family are in a great time of need. While they face the unimaginable, let's ease the financial burden of helping to pay for end-of-life care and funeral arrangements.

As we all know, her father Paul is strong and a fighter and won't go down without a fight, so she may be doing a lot of traveling for the foreseeable future. Shelley needs our help during this time, more than ever. Believing when the time comes that he would have wanted to be rested next to his other daughter Casey and his son Jacob at the cemetery in Fort Kent, Maine. Anything small or big would help relieve the financial burden she is facing at this time.

She appreciates everyone's love and prayers during this time, and as she may not have the mental capacity to answer back to everyone as she deals with all of this, she knows we're all on her side, ready to hold her up when she needs it most.

Asking for love, prayers, positive thoughts, and donations is not easy. Let's wrap her in love and lift her up.
