On the evening of September 20, 2020, Paul Morfinos heart suddenly stopped beating while he was reading a bedtime story to his 2 year old son. His young brother in law did CPR until EMTs arrived where the worked on him for 40 minutes getting back a heartbeat, hope was restored. Once at the hospital Doctors and nurses spent the next three days doing absolutely everything they could to keep him alive, to no avail.
Paul's wife Meagan let him go at 12:01 on her 30th birthday. The hospital honored the end of Paul's life with an honor walk to the OR for his organ donation surgery.
Paul's gift of organ donation immediately saved the life's of 3 individuals and helped countless others.
The town honored Paul's life by putting the flags at half-mast the day of his organ donation.
Paul was 32 years old, his sudden death is still pending medical investigation as there is no explanation for why his healthy heart just stopped beating.
Paul’s tragic departure puts tremendous strain on his surviving family as he was the main financial provider for his beautiful boy and beloved wife.
Money raised will be to keep this young family afloat, helping continue his sons special needs speech therapy and language schooling as well as medical bills, funeral costs, debt left behind, rent and other unforseen expenses this young widow must now take on herself.
Paul Morfino’s genuine kindness and loving dedication to his family will forever live with those who knew him. He was a truly kind man who wanted nothing more than to make his family happy.
