To all family and friends:
If you are reading this, you may be someone who knows Paul Maynard personally, either a friend, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a co-worker, a coach, an umpire, amongst other things. Odds are you know him as more than one. As you may or may not know, at the beginning of January, Paul Maynard was taken to the hospital with extreme back pains and quickly developed physical impairments. After some scans, it was confirmed that his recent back pains resulted from prostate cancer which has been diagnosed as metastasized and stage IV. It has metastasized to his bones and is most prevalent in two tumors on his spine. Due to the location and pressure of one of the tumors, the nerves in his lower body were compromised. Through some physical therapy, he is gaining some strength back in those muscles. He has been battling hard, has been thrown a few complicated curveballs, and is still fighting. The fight, however, is not cheap, and even with insurance, the tests, the scans, the care, the medicine, and the inability to work can catch up with a modest budget. Please give if you can, and please share whether you can give or not.
We all thank you so very much for your kind words, prayers, and support.
