Paul Litch - Kidney Transplant
Donation protected
We all know how selfless and compassionate Paul is, but what you may not know is that he has long dealt with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis, a rare form of a kidney disease. Paul's condition recently took a turn for the worse and has progressed to the point of dialysis becoming necessary. Paul will undergo a surgery to implant the device to receive dialysis, and the next step is a Kidney Transplant. FSGS is a rare disease that attacks the kidney’s filtering units (glomeruli) causing serious scarring which leads to permanent kidney damage and even failure.
Paul has been there for many of us in the past. I'm sure each person reading this can recall an exact moment that Paul was there for you with a laugh, a favor, a joke, a beer, a moving truck, or a friend if you ever needed one. He brings people together, and now Paul needs us to be there for him. A kidney transplant is the ONLY long term solution, the hope of a cadaver donation doesn’t carry great odds, which leaves only a donation from a living donor.
if you are interested in finding out more about being a possible donor, please contact the folks at Tampa General Hospital for information on how to see if you are a match for Paul.
This is the email for the living donor program:

He will have extensive medical bills, and we're hoping to raise some money to help him during this time while he waits for a kidney transplant. Give a little, give a lot, anything will help Paul on his path to recovery.
