On January 10th, my dad fell in his home and broke his leg in two places. He was admitted to the hospital that evening, and they have been unable to perform surgery yet due to other medical complications. They're planning to perform surgery as soon as they are able to. My dad's income comes from the landscaping company he has owned for years, and he currently operates that without any additional employees. Recently, he has started to work again as a bartender on the Portland Spirit as well. He is going to be unable to work because the rehabilitation is expected to take 3-4 months, and unfortunately he has no other source of income to fall back on to cover his expenses during this time. I am starting this GoFundMe to hopefully help my dad continue to pay his expenses (rent, electricity, food, potentially hiring a landscaping employee, etc.) as well as to continue to pay his medical insurance and any copays and deductibles that will result from this injury and other newly discovered medical issues that will need further attention.
