Paul Leckner - Cancer Sucks!
Donation protected
We are the Leckner family and we've spent the last four months supporting Paul through his colon cancer battle. He made a trip to the ER in late January, 2021 due to some frightful symptoms, and he was immediately admitted. He was diagnosed in early February and has been unable to work since his diagnosis. Paul started treatment (chemo and radiation) in March, which did reduce the size of the tumor somewhat. On May 10th, they did his colon resection to remove what was left of the tumor. Due to complications, they had to go back in on the 13th and install a temporary colostomy. Paul is making slow progress, but he IS making progress - AND he's now cancer free!!
One of his greatest blessings is that his medical expenses are mostly covered by insurance, but as would be true for most of us, Paul is in a really tight spot and is cash strapped. He's not able to meet his day-to-day expenses, the most pressing of which is his $600 / month truck payment and his truck insurance payments. He's going to need that truck when he is well enough to go back to work. He also has some ongoing medical expenses that are not covered by his insurance.
In addition, Paul is co-parenting his 9-year-old son who lives with him in his parents' home. As Paul's mom, I can attest that his needs and the needs of my grandson have been met up to now, but it's been a struggle. To complicate things even more, the day after Paul had his first surgery, his dad had a hip replacement, so the two of them are recuperating together.
The first thing we all need is prayer. The next thing we need is a way to meet Paul's expenses. Please consider making a donation to support Paul and his son while he recovers.
