Paul Krejci was diagnosed with terminal cancer after a brief illness that led him to the hospital December 7, 2020. As many of you can imagine this was a shock and tragedy for a man who has always worked hard his whole life. Many people may remember Paul as your Alger County local garbage pickup man. He was always friendly and always smiling. His wife of 28 years, Gail Krejci shared this:
“While Paul did garbage pickup he LOVED all the dogs he met, and would weekly go to the store and purchase treats for his fur friends. If they had a special diet, he would get the proper treats. He would always take the time to play with them despite his busy schedule. When he would experience a passing of a route dog, very often the people would give him a picture of their dog, we also received many Christmas cards with their dogs picture. He misses all the people and fur friends he met while collecting trash."
Paul was not only wonderful to animals but also wonderful to people. If Paul had a part to fix your vehicle, he would give it to you. If you needed a helping hand, Paul would be the first to offer his mechanical skills. Well my friends, it is now Paul that needs the helping hand. Paul is now unable to work any longer for the Wood Island Landfill and he has lost his health insurance. He is not old enough for Medicare and insurance premiums, hospital diagnostic bills, Dr. Visits, and home health bills are all due.
Paul and Gail are both wonderful people who deserve to spend their last days together not worrying about how they will pay their medical bills. They deserve to spend Paul’s last days enjoying their love for one and other.
Please consider donating to help Paul and Gail pay for current and upcoming bills due to this tragic terminal illness.
Thank you and God Bless.
