Paul Graham Memorial Fund
For quite a while, we had been concerned for our dad, Paul Graham's health. If you knew him, you knew how hard it could be to get him to do anything he didn't want to do, so you can imagine how hard it was but we finally talked him into being admitted to the hospital on June 18th to finally get some answers. We never expected that he would only have a week left with us.
Paul was never formally diagnosed with a type of cancer. On the 18th we knew it was in his lungs, possibly his liver, and decided on a biopsy. On Saturday the operation was postponed due to concerns that he would need to be put on a ventilator. Monday we knew that his cancer was in such an advanced case that a biopsy would be pointless. He entered Palliative care and we did our best to help him be comfortable. On Friday the 25th, he passed away early in the morning on his 63rd birthday.
Obviously, this has been an extremely trying time for our family and our goal has been to help our mom ease into this uncomfortable new normal we have found ourselves in. We decided to set up this fundraiser to assist her with the cost of cremation, memorial service, and the other unexpected financial expenses involved with the death of our dad.
