Paul & Sherrie courageously fighting his cancer

My dear friend Sherrie's husband Paul Chretien was diagnosed with Colon cancer almost 2 years ago. It was stage 4 and had metastacized to his liver when he was diagnosed. Paul, with Sherrie's tremendous help, love and care immediately began taking the steps to beat the cancer all the while working together as Paul practiced as a physician. Last spring Sherrie slipped on a newly mopped floor in the medical building where they work and shattered her knee. She had to undergo surgery and extremely painful physical therapy, which was not only a huge financial burden (the medical bills between the two of them and Sherrie not being able to work for 5 months during her recovery), but a great difficulty for them both as Paul was still receiving cancer treatments and they were both in need of care.  Just a few months ago they received wonderful news that Paul's scans were  clean, no cancer. Sadly, a few days before Christmas Paul became extremely ill and had to be hospitalized. He is currently undergoing testing but scans have revealed that the cancer has returned. This wonderful couple have done so much good for their family, their friends and the community. They have had such tremendous courage and faith. So many have been blessed and amazed by their strengh and the love they share. The medical bills have been a great burden and with this recent development, the financial strain will continue to increase. There is a definite need.
