Support Paul Bedrosian’s Family

On Tuesday, July 29, Paul Bedrosian died suddenly from a heart attack at just 41 years old. It’s hard to put into words how shocking and devastating this has been for everyone who loved him.

Paul’s world revolved around his 15-month-old son, Oli, and his partner of eleven years, Brittany. He was a devoted son to his mother Gunna and father Michael, a loving brother to his sisters Hanna and Anika, and a cherished nephew to his aunt Haigi. Paul also had a profound impact on the Providence music and nightlife scene, a community he helped nurture for over 15 years as a reggae DJ. His absence will be deeply felt by his family and community for a long time to come.

Paul died doing what he loves: biking to Providence, seeing familiar faces, and supporting the friends and local businesses that mattered to him. That’s the thing about Paul — he was always there. For his family, for friends, even for strangers. He never missed a chance to stand by others, whether making the rounds at local venues and bars or showing up in times of celebration and grief.

“We’re so grateful for the outpouring of love and support for Paul. It’s both incredibly beautiful and heartbreaking that he won’t be here in person to celebrate with all the people and community he loved so much. But we know he’ll be with us in spirit, nodding and smiling, giving out hugs and daps, wearing his fanny pack and man bun, cranking up the volume on the subs. Paul always showed up for us. Thank you for showing up for him.”

We’re asking the community to come together for Paul, just as he so often did for us. In lieu of flowers, we’re grateful for any show of support, and donations to this fund are especially meaningful. They will go directly toward covering funeral expenses and helping the family manage unexpected hospitalization costs, easing this burden and honoring the legacy of someone who gave so much of himself to others.
