On the morning of May 26th 2 of our communities children’s lives changed forever.
Paul and Santiago Santibanez went to bed Monday night with thoughts of school ending soon and looking forward to a great summer ahead. Little did they both know their lives would be forever changed. Paul and Santiago awoke Tuesday morning to the devastating news of tragically losing both parents due to an act of domestic violence.
Paul, the oldest of the 2 brothers, is 14 years old. He is a member of student council and is an active swimmer with Denton Aquatics Center. He is a very bright, polite young man that never asks anything from anyone, even in the time of need. His very best friend was his mother. He absolutely adored her and was very protective over her. I will say, I have never met such a great well rounded kid.
Santiago, the youngest is 8 years old. He is actively involved in 380 Youth Sports Association Soccer League with Team Argentina. He is a sweet adorable boy that keeps everyone laughing.
My heart is breaking for these boys that have very little extended family in the U.S.
We are asking for your donations however big or small to help with basic needs as well as any medical needs, counseling and extra curricular activities. We can’t make the pain go away, all we can do is love them and help them in any way we can to give them some sort of normalcy back in their lives.
