Paul and Lauren Monds financial assistance

Hi, my name is Jo and I am fundraising for my beautiful friends, Paul and Lauren Monds, and their little twin boys, who have been dealt a cruel hand over the past almost two years and are now facing the reality of a life that no one wants to have to face.

At the end of November 2022, Paul received the news that his Ewing’s cancer had metastasised to his lungs, lymph nodes and chest is a stage 4 terminal cancer diagnosis.

We are asking for your help to raise enough money so that Lauren, who has been the breadwinner in the family since 2013, is able to cover living expenses when she needs to take much needed time off work to spend quality time together and create memories while they are able; and to care for Paul at home or hospital when needed. The funds will also go toward additional medical expenses, the funeral costs and to allow Lauren some time to grieve with her boys when Paul passes.

It has been a tough time for the family when Paul, who has also suffered with fibromyalgia and other associated syndromes since 2013, was then diagnosed with a Ewings Sarcoma in March 2021 just before he and his wife Lauren welcomed twin boys born April 2021.

He undertook extensive treatment including 17 rounds of chemo, 6 weeks of radiation and major surgery in June 2022 to remove the remaining tumour.

Following the news the cancer has metastasized, Paul is undergoing a 3-month chemo regime to attempt to slow the spread of this aggressive cancer and give him as much time as possible to spend with his young family.

While we are all living in hope that Paul is given more time, the reality is this, we don’t know what time they have and to give them the gift of time together without the stress of financial burden of lack of income and increased expenses would be wonderful.
