My mom is the strongest woman alive. Anyone who's known our family in the last few years can attest to that.
She has weathered alone more emotional storms than any of us can imagine, and every time she emerges unscathed and tougher than before.
Right now she's got one more storm to weather. And because she'd never ask for our help, I'm asking on her behalf.

For those who don't know, our mom Patty Lefrak was diagnosed with breast cancer about 2 months ago. In October she had a double mastectomy, during which the doctors discovered that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes.
The Good News: They've removed the affected nodes
The Bad News: The doctors have scheduled some heavy duty chemo over the next few months, to ensure that they caught everything, and as a precaution in case it comes back.

Mom is scheduled to start chemotherapy on December 29th, 2016, with several additional treatments scheduled after that.
So why am I asking for help?
Well, seeing as how she has already missed work for her surgery, it's pretty clear that, given the short notice, she'll be missing more...and that means less dough for the chemo, which is coming out of her pocket (and is very expensive, in case you didn't know).

My brother and sister-in-law Aaron and Breanna Haddock have already started a t-shirt fundraising campaign...this is hopefully going to supplement that, while also giving everyone an opportunity to help out even if you don't want a t-shirt (or if you want to make a smaller contribution).
I'm setting low-ish goals to start, in hopes that we can raise enough money to get her through as many treatments as possible. Either way, believe me when I say that any and every donation helps. And for every $25 donated, we'll order you a t-shirt at your request. Otherwise, your contribution goes straight toward the out-of-pocket costs for her treatments and related expenses while she's recovering.
Your donations mean the world...not only to me, but to my entire family. This is a woman who has given so much of herself to the world, through her work and in her personal life.
Let's give her a lil' somethin' back.
Thanks for your support!
