My sweet sister-in-law was just diagnosed with breast cancer.  Turns out, it's going to be a complicated case.  She's been diagnosed with cancer in both breasts, but two different types of tumors, requiring two different types of treatment.

Yesterday she had a double mastectomy. During the surgery they found evidence of cancer in her lymph nodes and did a complete lymph node removal on the left side.  

We now know it has metastasized, we just don't yet know how far.  We know that her treatment will involve both chemo and radiation and we know that Patty will not be able to work for some time.  My brother is her caregiver.  

This Go-Fund-Me will help my brother and his sweet family with medical bills, medication expenses and day-to-day expenses as they focus on helping Patty heal.

The average cost seen within the first year after breast cancer diagnosis are:

Stage 0 - $60k
Stage 1/2 - $82k
Stage 3 - $130k
Stage 4 - $140k
