Patty Rundle's Support

Don protégé
5/2/19: Patty was comforted during her battle by an organization located in Geneva IL called Living Well Cancer Resource Center. They offer complete resources for the patient and family. Patty especially loved the massages, yoga and counselors. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to this fantastic organization.

5/1/19: Family and Friends.
It is hard to believe that one day has passed already without Patty in our lives. I have been asked a couple of times about upcoming arrangements.

The arrangements for Patty are as follows:

...Location:
Resurrection Lutheran Church and School
2567 W Sullivan Rd
Aurora, IL 60506

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Resurrection Lutheran Church and School. There will be a time for all to visit with the family on Tuesday, May 7, between 6 and 8:30 PM and again on Wednesday, May 8, between 9 and 11 AM. There will be a service starting at 11 with a luncheon to follow.

Please join if you are able as we celebrate the love of my life, your daughter, sister, best friend and the best MOM I knew.

4/30/19 : It is with the deepest sadness and regret that I tell all of my family and friends of Patty’s passing this afternoon at 1:30. She died peacefully in her sleep after a long and fiercely fought battle. I have learned a lot about her over the past 2 weeks. I never knew the woman I fell in love with. She was a beautiful soul that touched many lives with her passion for life, her ability to laugh and live life to the fullest and most of all, be the kind of friend we all should strive to be. She tirelessly lived for family, which was the most important thing to her. She would not think of spending hours in a car, working late, or working extra hard so she could attend ALL of our kid’s events. Please remember her as she was, the world’s best mom, the larger than life, full of love for all and best friend anyone could have.

4/27/19: Patty is the strongest fighter I know. She continues to hold on but is getting more and more weak daily. She has been surrounded by family who continue to love and cherish the moments remaining. Continued thanks for all of the well wishes, prayers and gifts.

4/23/19: Patty continues to tire, but we are grateful for all the time we have with her. Family and friends are gathering to spend more time with her and celebrate her life. We are very thankful for all the thought and prayers. Please keep them coming.

4/20/19: Hi Family and Friends. We are very grateful to have so many supportive people during this sad time. We can see Patty has touched so many people in countless ways. She was a ball of energy and had a thirst for life. When she loved, she loved with her whole heart. As Patty continues to fight she is comfortably sleeping a majority of the day. The nurse visited the house today and said her vitals were stable. We appreciate everyone who took time to keep us in your thoughts, prayers and brought food to share. Through this difficult time we are very happy to have this support.

4/19/19: Thank You to everyone for your thoughts, prayers and generous donations. Unfortunately, Patty’s health continues to decline. She is surrounded by family and friends which does lift her spirits but her body continues to fail her and is becoming weaker. We feel blessed for every minute we still have with Patty and for all of the positive thoughts and prayers you have shared with us. We are going to miss her strength and wicked sense of humor. These memories will forever be in our hearts providing strength through these trying days. During this profoundly sad time Patty and her family are forever grateful for everyone’s kindness. Please continue to keep patty, her children and husband in your thoughts.

In February 2019, Patty has been diagnosed with metastatic melanoma of the brain and spinal fluid. This shocking news comes after she has been in remission from metastatic melanoma of the lung. Patty is a fighter and immediately started rounds of chemotherapy injected directly into her spinal fluid. Sadly after 4 weeks of chemo it was found that she has new brain tumors and the treatment is not working.

Patty is currently at home resting comfortably surrounded by family and friends. We know our time with Patty will end too soon but we celebrate her life and the joy she has brought to everyone.

We created this fund to help the Rundle family with all anticipated medical bills and other expenses they may need to navigate through this time. Many of you have expressed wanting to donate to help in some way. If this is the avenue you choose to help, Thank you.  And Thank you for all the Love, Support and Prayers.
