Help Patty Murphy ❤️

Hello, my name is Alexandra and I am fundraising for my dearest Aunt Patty. Patty is the kindest, most loving person I have ever known; and now she and her family have been met with an indescribable hardship.

Patty is the mother of three beautiful daughters, wife of a loved and respected local police officer, Paul, and step- mom to three beautiful stepchildren. She is the life of the party and loved by all who know her. Patty is the last person on earth who deserved this challenge.

Before her battle with breast cancer, Patty was dealing with her daughter, Brook, having epilepsy and other medical issues due to an AVM.

A few months ago, she was sadly diagnosed with Invasive breast carcinoma with dense lymphocytic infiltrate, invasive breast carcinoma ductal with lobular pattern, ductal carcinoma in situ. 1 tumor was ER positive, PR negative and her2 negative. Second tumor is ER positive PR positive and her2 negative.

Plan of treatment had begun with a lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy 11/14/2023 with radiation 8 weeks after starting 1/8/2024 for 20 rounds

Unfortunately, she has been met with complications since 11/20/2023; with constant infections that have turned out to be Serratia marcescens. As of 12/19-2/5 she was on antibiotics which has delayed treatment.

She has worked every day during the diagnosis, putting off doctor visits to continue to work. She would work through the pain, waiting to go to the ER until after her shift ended to not short change her patients.

Due to these issues, she has developed an acute deep vein thrombosis of the right tibial vein. This has now deemed Patty medically unable to work,

She has been told that her FMLA is cancelled due to picking intermittent leave, as opposed to consecutive leave, as she was planning on working and keeping radiation at 3:45 pm so that she did not let work down.

Now, she will have no income until she is approved for disability, which could easily take 6 weeks or more, IF she is approved. Before being completely out of work, she was given minimal hours due to her health.

Her husband has missed a considerable amount of work to care for her, causing his income to decrease. Her daughters have now also had to miss work to assist in caring for her, as she has been unable to care for herself. We all know how devastating a cancer diagnosis is. To have that worry as well as the impossible task of figuring out how to pay rent, utilities, food, medicine and other life necessities, while not being able to work adds to the already stressful situation.

Please find it in your hearts to help my incredible aunt, making her difficult time a little bit easier. There has never been a time in her life where she has ever passed up the opportunity to help others, whether it be financially, emotionally or spiritually to the best of her ability. Now, it’s our turn to reach out to help her. Anything is greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your love, help and prayers ❤️.
