It has been confirmed that Chuck and Patty Rough, long-time residents of Paradise, California (and Rick's brother and sister-in-law), have lost their home, as well as Chuck and Rick's mother's home, in the devastating Camp Fire.  Their mom, Eddys Rough, had moved to an assisted living facility and was safely evacuated from there, but we are still waiting on its status.  While Chuck, Patty and Eddys are grateful to be safe and are certainly not alone in their loss, it is heartbreaking, and overwhelming to have to start over.  Chuck was town manager of Paradise until his retirement a few years ago, and so much of the work he did for the town is gone, as well. 
 
We expect that there will be insurance payments eventually, so any funds raised here will help them in the meantime, with lodging, furnishings and clothing.  Chuck and Patty did not ask us to set up this Go Fund Me page; we offered to as so many of you have asked how you can help. If anyone feels inclined to contribute, I know they would be grateful, as would Rick and I.
