My name is Patti, and I’m reaching out to you with a hopeful heart.
This coming spring, I will be undergoing Facial Feminisation Surgery (FFS), a major gender-affirming procedure that I’ve been working towards for the past years. It is something that will change my life, and I’d be so grateful to have your support.

Unfortunately, FFS is known to be costly and is not covered by my insurance. I’m doing my best to save up what I can, but as a freelancer, it’s precarious to work, earn, and save money consistently.
The surgery itself, along with the time off needed to recover, are beyond what I can afford on my own in the time I have. That’s why I’m turning to you for help.

Over the past years, I have had several consultations, but haven’t managed to make a decision for myself because I was scared and overwhelmed with choosing a clinic. However, last week I went in for what would become my final consultation, and something felt different this time. After years of uncertainty and hesitation, I finally felt at ease.
The doctor’s decades of experience were immediately evident, not just in his knowledge, but in the way he listened to me with empathy, answered my questions with clarity, and treated my journey with the respect and care it deserves. For the first time, I didn’t feel like just another patient. I felt understood, and most importantly, safe.

This surgery will be life-saving for me, as it’s a protective and life-elevating procedure. I’ve seen it change the lives of many girlfriends before me, and I know it will change mine in countless ways.

What I’m seeking is confidence and relief. The ability to move through daily life with less fear, less dysphoria, and a greater sense of safety in public.

Hormone therapy has helped me in many ways so far, and I’m grateful to have access to it through my GP. However, it can’t completely soften some of the heavy facial features that cause deep discomfort and insecurity. 
FFS feels like the necessary next step for my well-being and aligning my outer appearance with who I truly am.

After years of waiting, I’m finally ready to take this step forward and seeking a chance to be happy.
