Dear friends, family, and church community,

I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart, as my mom is facing an unprecedented challenge. Despite her courageous battle with cancer, she's been dealt a devastating blow. Her second job, which provided vital income and secondary insurance, was abruptly outsourced, leaving her with no financial safety net, after being diagnosed with Stage 3 metastatic Adenocarcinoma Colon Cancer in April of last year. Her bills continue to accumulate, as she’s had multiple surgeries, frequent hospital stays, radiology, chemotherapy, prescription co-pays, etc. etc. as a result.

And anyone that knows my mom knows that she’s spent her life serving others with unwavering kindness and generosity. She's helped countless people overcome addiction, paid bills for those in need, and has been a constant source of support and comfort to the community around her.

Now, it's our turn to return the love and support she's selflessly given. Her situation is dire, and she's struggling to make ends meet while undergoing treatment. That's why I'm starting this GoFundMe campaign, to rally her community around her in this time of need.

Every donation, big or small, will help alleviate the financial burden she's facing, to help her rest and heal. Your contribution will go directly towards her medical expenses, living costs, and ensuring she can continue to receive the care she needs.

I know she would never ask for help herself, but I believe it's our responsibility as a community to come together to support her. Despite her sunny disposition, I can tell the chemo and financial stressors are really wearing her down. She’s tired. She's given so much to everyone around her; now it's our turn to give back.
