Patti Androy's medical bills

Per Patti's daughter-
As many of you may know our mother/wife/grandmother (and so many other things to family and Friends), Patti Androy was admitted to the hospital on Sunday October 18th with respiratory distress. It was found that she was positive for the Covid-19 virus. She was currently working as an RN at the nursing home in Dunlap where she had been exposed to patients and staff that also had the virus. She hadn't been feeling herself for some time but Sunday she became increasingly short of breath and her oxygen levels were dropping. Her husband Tom took her to the Denison hospital where she was admitted and stayed for a couple of days but we were made aware that with the high level of Oxygen that she had to have to keep her O2 levels up that if she exceeded that limit that they were not equipped to put her on another type of support (Bi-pap or Ventilator). So she was transferred to Mercy One in Sioux City on Tuesday October 20th.
Every day we were told it was just a wait and see what happens sort of thing. She quickly transgressed from being on a rebreather mask and Hi-Flo Oxygen to needing a Bi-Pap to then needing to be moved over to ICU. She was just too weak and sick that every time they tried to take the Bi-pap mask off her O2 levels would drop. No one had really gotten to talk to Mom since Friday the 23rd. If she did have enough energy to call one of us it was very brief and she may only say a few words and then she'd say "I need to rest". Same with trying to Text.... She was just TOO weak. So it was quite the shock to all of us that once they moved her to the ICU on Monday the 23rd, they HAD to put her on the ventilator, her condition was very serious.
She has been on the ventilator for over a week now... and she's not making much improvement. She has bilateral Pneumonia and she is on antibiotics/steriods/and blood thinners. She's had a low grade fever off and on. She has been bumped back up to 95% fiO2 (tops out at 100%) and she's at 14 Peep (pressure of the Ventilator)... She unfortunately suffered a spontaneous Pneumothorax (her lung collapsed) from the pressure of the ventilator causing a small leak in her lung so they had to put in a Chest Tube today. We are hopeful that she will make some improvements over the next few days but her situation is still very critical. We really have no idea which way things are going to go right now, so all we can do is continue to hope and pray that she gets better.
It is the hardest thing to go day to day and know that she is all alone, we can't speak to her, we can't go see her, can't hold her hand and tell her it's all going to be OK! Please continue to keep her in your prayers!
I can't imagine what her medical bills will be when this is all said and done, but she has a very long road ahead of her to be able to overcome this horrible virus. The damage it can cause to your lungs is just awful. So please don't laugh this virus off, do what you can to keep yourself and your families safe, you just NEVER know! A seemingly healthy, 58 year old is fighting for her life... something we didn't think we'd have to deal with just yet!
