Patsy Barrera’s three surviving children

We are deeply saddened by the news of Patsy’s tragic passing, and our hearts go out to her children and loved ones. Patsy's three beautiful children, Breanna (14), Jacob (12) and Cruz (5), are in great need of financial and emotional support. Any donation will go directly to help with funeral costs, basic living and mental wellness expenses, and support of their future education.

Patsy was a wonderful single mother who always put her children first. She sacrificed everything to give her children a better life and taught them the value of higher education. Breanna and Jacob followed in her footsteps as Kealing magnet students and part of the Young Scientists program with UT. Patsy encouraged her children to attend college as first-generation college-bound students. She recently was on the path to continue her dream and return to nursing school. She wanted to help those in need and make a difference in the world.

Patsy was a beautiful human being, both inside and out. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was her children’s biggest cheerleader and always encouraged them to pursue their dreams and passions. She enjoyed watching them playing soccer and supported them in every endeavor. Patsy was so proud of her children, and her face lit up whenever she talked about them. She was a kind soul and taught them the importance of generosity and helpfulness. Her children and family were her world. Patsy will be greatly missed.

With Patsy no longer here to provide for Breanna, Jacob and Cruz, the road ahead will not be easy. Let’s come together as a community to support them in any way possible. Your generosity and kindness will help provide some stability and hope as they navigate this difficult journey without their beloved mother.

Estamos profundamente entristecidos por la noticia del trágico fallecimiento de Patsy y nuestros corazones están con sus hijos y seres queridos. Los tres hermosos hijos de Patsy, Breanna (14), Jacob (12) y Cruz (5), necesitan mucho apoyo financiero y emocional. Cualquier donación se destinará directamente a ayudar con los costos del funeral, los gastos básicos de vida y de bienestar mental, y el apoyo a su futura educación.

Patsy era una maravillosa madre soltera que siempre anteponía a sus hijos. Ella sacrificó todo para darles a sus hijos una vida mejor y les enseñó el valor de la educación superior. Breanna y Jacob siguieron sus pasos como estudiantes magnet de Kealing y parte del programa de Jóvenes Científicos de UT. Patsy animó a sus hijos a asistir a la universidad como estudiantes de primera generación destinados a la universidad. Recientemente estaba en camino de continuar su sueño y regresar a la escuela de enfermería. Quería ayudar a los necesitados y marcar una diferencia en el mundo.

Patsy era un ser humano hermoso, tanto por dentro como por fuera. Ella era una madre, hija, hermana y tía amorosa. Ella era la mayor porrista de sus hijos y siempre los animó a perseguir sus sueños y pasiones. Le gustaba verlos jugar fútbol y los apoyaba en cada esfuerzo. Patsy estaba muy orgullosa de sus hijos y su rostro se iluminaba cada vez que hablaba de ellos. Ella era una alma bondadosa y les enseñó la importancia de la generosidad y la ayuda. Sus hijos y su familia eran su mundo. Extrañaremos mucho a Patsy.

Como Patsy ya no está aquí para mantener a Breanna, Jacob y Cruz, el camino por delante no será fácil. Unámonos como comunidad para apoyarlos en todo lo posible. Su generosidad y amabilidad ayudarán a brindarles algo de estabilidad y esperanza mientras transitan este difícil viaje sin su amada madre.
