Our dear friend and colleague Pat Lewis was hospitalized with pneumonia on March 29 and spent 10 days on a ventilator and feeding tube, fighting the original infection and others that followed.

She is now off the vent and very slowly recovering but it’s going to take her many months to fully recover physically and mentally. She also faces complications including the possibility of having some of her fingertips amputated. And as many of you may know, weeks in the ICU exact a major psychological toll.

The financial, physical, and emotional challenges that she and her partner Darrin are facing are already overwhelming and there’s still a long road ahead.

They need our help. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. Pat and Darrin are incredibly hardworking and generous people. They are the kind of people others can rely on in a crunch. They would never ask for help on their own, so we are doing it for them.
