Hi, my name is Sierra and this is my dog Patron – my rock, my best friend, and the one who’s been with me through the hardest moments of my life. Patron is an almost 4-year-old American Bulldog mix (turning 4 on December 5th) with the sweetest, most playful personality. He’s not just a pet—he’s family. He’s the proud older brother to two siblings from the same litter, a girl named Luna and a boy named Jefe, and he’s always been such a loving, protective big brother to them. He’s been there for me through breakups, challenges, and stress, always knowing when I’m sad and even “crying” when I cry. He’s the reason I went viral on TikTok—people fell in love with his funny, emotional personality just like I did. This morning, Patron couldn’t go to the bathroom and was clearly in pain, so we rushed him to Matthews Animal Hospital where they placed a catheter and drained some urine. Unfortunately, they couldn’t remove the stones blocking his urinary tract, so now he has to undergo emergency surgery at London Regional Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital to remove the blockage before it becomes life-threatening. I’m a student starting nursing school this September, and while I work hard, I simply can’t afford this surgery on my own. The total cost is expected to be around $8,000, and any type of financial help—big or small—would be so gratefully appreciated. Patron means everything to me, and I can’t imagine life without him—he’s brought joy to so many people online and has been my emotional anchor for the past four years.
