Frankie's Patriot BBQ needs your HELP so we can continue in our mission to serve our community.
Frankie's Patriot BBQ opened in 2013 in honor of CPL Frank R. Gross, who was KIA in Kandahar, Afghanistan by an IED attack. He was on a rescue mission - and he was the only soldier in his unit who was KIA that entire year. Frankie's Patriot BBQ opened with a mission to serve the local community in his memory through our involvement with DOZENS of nonprofit organizations that benefit local veterans, first responders, and youth sports.
In the last 5 years Frankie’s Patriot BBQ has given back over $60,000 and proudly support dozens of local Tampa Bay Area and national nonprofit organizations that support veterans, law enforcement, firefighters and children, including: The Fisher House, The USO, The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Veterans Counseling Veterans, Inc. of Tampa, Wounded Warriors Ability Ranch of Pinellas Park , local Pinellas and Hillsborough County VFW’s, Vietnam Veterans of America, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Heartstrings for Heroes, Oldsmar Fire Department, Oldsmar Little League, East Lake Little League, Gold Star Mothers of America, Gold Star Fathers of Florida, Gold Star Awareness and dozens of others.
Veterans are served complimentary meals at our location in Clearwater, FL on Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Frankie's Patriot BBQ hosts an annual Super Bowl Party at the USO Day Room at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, FL. This is provided at no cost for those veterans who cannot leave the facility because of the extent of their injuries. Veterans are fed a great meal - along with homemade desserts. We also provide food for all attendees at the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Oldsmar Veterans Park in Oldsmar, FL.
Frankie's Patriot BBQ needs your help to be able to continue in our mission to serve our community. Normally we are the ones helping others in their fundraising quest, but at the suggestion of some close friends in the veteran community, we are coming to you for help.
Before we opened our doors in Clearwater, we suffered a 6-month delay with $100,000 worth of unplanned debt due to CORPORATE THEFT. This was due to an unscrupulous contractor who STOLE from us, not from bad business decisions that we made. Unbeknownst to us, this contractor who we vetted and trusted, did not pull permits and did not do work to code. We were red-tagged by the building inspector, had to tear out his work and borrow funds to continue and opened the doors in debt.
We are raising money to repay debt caused by this corporate theft so that we can continue in our mission to serve our community.

With many thanks and gratitude on behalf of the Frankie’s Patriot BBQ family,
