Sergeant Chris Gebert Funeral Fund
Donation protected
UPDATE:
As the mother of SSG Christopher Gebert, I thank each person who has generously donated to his funeral fund. Chris was an honorable patriot with 3 children at home. He grew up in Allen County, IN, where his parents and brothers still reside. Your support to help pay our local DO McComb & Sons for the funeral services keeps the burden off of his grieving young family in TN. Sincere thanks – Lisa Bush

A man of faith, loyalty and service, Sergeant Christopher James Gebert lost his final battle on August 29, 2017.
During his twelve-year enlistment with the United States Army, Chris earned the rank of Staff Sergeant, eventually training new recruits. His achievements include, but are not limited to: the Army Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Ribbon, Non-commissioned Officer Professional Ribbon and Airborne Badge.
As with so many veterans, Chris struggled with acclimating into civilian life. A retired Army Recruiter shared, "Chris discussed reenlistment every time we spoke. Even when I wasn't a Recruiter, Chris would ask if I could, 'get him back in'; it is a fair assessment to say Chris missed the brotherhood and camaraderie the Army affords. He loved serving."
Chris leaves behind three children (still at home), unable to meet the financial demands associated with their father's untimely death.
It is our family's great honor to have been a part of Chris' life, and on behalf of Chris, to raise funds in efforts to bury him. Please, kindly consider a contribution or an offering of thanks to a great American patriot and hero, as we are now a part of the veteran family, forged by fire.
In loving thanks,
The Family of Christopher Gebert
