Patrik Liam Finnerty was an extraordinary human, impressively intelligent, and a friend to every person he met. He would put a smile on your face with his witty sense of humor and kind, encouraging words. He helped so many people and now it's his family's turn to honor his name and continue to help those in need struggling with Addiction.
In honor of Patrik passing, we will split all donations made in his name between two foundations that helped him and his older brother John throughout the years. They are Observatory Sober Living and the Dennis Messing Memorial Foundation. They aid in finding places for people to get help that cannot afford it on their own and to children that have suffered loss because of this epidemic.
With this money raised, we will be able to help over 40 people with a scholarship in Patrik's name so they do not have to worry financially about getting help. John will be the one to select the candidates for the scholarships.
Patrik's father, Richard Finnerty, will be depositing the funds into his account and writing 2 separate checks for each foundation. We plan to withdraw the funds at the end of January.
