Hello all. The last few days have been a whirlwind for the McNeff family. Many emotions and ups and downs and things are constantly changing. After suffering a 30ft fall at a job site in New Hampshire and being taken to the hospital in Portsmouth, NH, Patric is currently being taken care of by the wonderful staff at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. He has multiple serious injuries, including fractured ribs, a spinal cord injury, and other bumps and bruises internally and externally. Laureen, Brendan and Chloe are currently in Boston from Southern California, as are Rocky, Emily, and Coen from Oregon.

On August 26th, Patric was prepped and underwent spinal surgery to stabilize the T11 vertebrae. This surgery was successful, however, Patric will most likely not recover any feeling or mobility from the waist down. The surgeon who spoke to us, along with the nurse, disclosed what the next months will look like for Patric: lots of rehab.

Patric and Laureen will be in Boston indefinitely focusing on Patric's rehab, recovery, and planning for their new future.
