I'm trying to raise money on behalf of my friend, Patrick Muhire, who I met while traveling in Rwanda in June 2019. Patrick lives with his mother and two sisters in Musanze, and dreams of one day owning his own bicycle touring company.

Patrick studied Tourism and Travel Management in university and graduated in December 2024. While studying, he fell in love with bicycles and the idea of sharing the beauty of Rwanda with tourists and locals via bicycle tours.

Cycling plays a significant part in Rwandan culture. It's a vital mode of transportation and economic activity for its people. It's also a source of national pride, demonstrated by the professional Team Rwanda and the Tour du Rwanda, a major cycling event. In fact, Rwanda will be the first African nation to host the UCI Road World Championships. They take place at the end of September.

As someone who has been fortunate to travel to many countries and bike pack across quite a few of them, I can confidently say that Rwanda is the most beautiful country I've ever ridden a bike in. It has a network of pristine roads and unparalleled natural beauty. It's known as the "Land of a Thousand Hills".

Patrick is asking for $5,000 which will go towards the following expenses:
