Help Me Replace my Stolen Gear
Hi, My name is Patrick Parrish. I am a husband, father, Baha'i and professional musician living in Austin TX.
A few weekends ago my pedalboard and two amplifiers were stolen out of my car. As a professional musician, this equipment is a crucial part of how I support my family, but just as importantly, it's part of my personal voice as a musician. A guitar player's tone is like his musical fingerprint, and being familiar and comfortable with one's gear helps in developing this unique sound.
I am very lucky to have some amazing and gracious friends here in Austin who trust me enough to loan me their gear in the short term. The faster I can replace my stolen equipment, the more quickly I can return theirs back to them and continue in my personal growth as an artist.
This is the part where I'm asking for your help and support. As many of you may know, professional quality equipment is not cheap, and the pay I get per gig isn't going to allow me to make up that cost in a very timely manner. Your generosity will help me to replace the gear that helps me to shape my sound and make money for my family. I am certainly trying to keep the cost down as much as possible by looking for gear that is affordable without sacrificing too much quality.
In helping me, you'll be contributing so much more than finances — you'll be giving me back my voice. I will forever be grateful and indebted to you all. If I have ever jammed with you, played at an event that gave you good memories, or helped in any way to bring a smile to your face, please consider helping in any way you can.
Love to you all!
EDIT: A big thank you to my friend Charles Coker who had an extra board and a few pedals that he is giving me!
Love to you all!
