Thank you all for being supportive.

Patrick Su passed away on the Saturday of August 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM. He was a loving son, brother, and friend who was taken too early from us.

The night before his unexpected passing, Patrick wanted to spend some quality time with his parents. His mom went to bed early because she was exhausted, not knowing that was her last moment with him. His dad was also tired, but wanted to stayed up with his dear son. They chatted while watching television. Patrick noticed that his father did not look well. Even though it was painful to move his limbs, Patrick lifted his hand to gently touch his father's head, realizing, "Dad, your head has a bump".  He then palmed his father's face and said, "Your face is swollen too... you should go rest." But his father wanted to stay a little longer. Patrick wasn't the type to make physical contact or show affection, so this moment was rare to witness. He hugged his dad and said his last "I love you."

Patrick touched the hearts of those closest to him and will always be missed and remembered. He was a gifted 23-year-old with kind intentions.

His family and friends are raising funds for Patrick's memorial service and funeral. This includes bringing him home from Sacramento back to his hometown in LA. The funeral is expected to be held within the next couple of weeks. His sister, Karen Su, will be in charge of the final expenses. Please share Patrick's story.

Patrick has always longed to bring his family closer together. As a toddler, he wanted to follow his sister's footsteps and help out at home. On his own and without supervision, the small boy pulled up a chair to the sink and "washed" the dishes. Pieces of food were still on the plates, but he was so happy to contribute. He wanted to be like his big brother, full of life and surrounded by good friends. When his mom or dad offered to buy food or toys for Patrick, he always thoughtfully reminded them to get the same thing for his beloved brother.

Patrick also loved animals. His Chinchilla, whom he named "Chili", would help him foster his love for being a guardian and caretaker. He was also an amazing self-taught guitarist and brilliant mind. He always put thought and care into everything he was passionate about. This included: Story-telling, philosophy, building computers, giving advice to help others, and so much more.

He tried to be strong for his family. He didn't admit it often, but he confided in someone very close to him, how much he truly loved and appreciated his family for all their love and efforts. Patrick claimed that his mom is his best friend and that he loved his dad more than anything. His words carried meaning and echoed a profound impact on our hearts.

He also wished for abundance in friendship. In his life, he was a good friend to only a few. His soul gave his closest friends strength whenever they needed it although recently he needed every ounce of it.

Please remember to be kind to someone everyday and show affection to your loved ones. Our time on this earth isn't long, so we should cherish everything and everyone while we can.
