Patrick "Steve" Compton ROTC Nursing Scholarship Fund

Donation protected
Patrick "Steve" Compton was born and raised in Columbia, TN and passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the age of 78. Steve served in the United States Army and was discharged in 1965.

Steve developed close bonds with his nurses and hospital staff during his battle with sickness.

His son, Patrick, has served in the Army for over 25 years and taught ROTC at Widener, Villanova, and West Chester Universities in Pennsylvania. The family can think of no better way to honor Steve's legacy than by creating a scholarship fund for current and prospective ROTC cadets seeking to serve as nurses in the United States Army.

The Army offers ROTC scholarships in 2-, 3- and 4-year increments. We intend to provide these funds to a 2-, or 3-year recipient to supplement their studies.

Once the fund is set up, we will transfer the funds from this platform to a local charitable organization to handle the selection and payout.

We've set a goal of $1,000, but anything over that will also go to the selected student or students.

Thank you for your generous donation, which helps us preserve Steve's legacy and further the education of future Army officers.
