I've recently learned of the unfortunate circumstances that my dear friends Patrick & Rhian have found themselves in. Those of you who know Pat & Rhian know that they are the kindest, most considerate people around, loving parents and true friends.

Their trust and faith in humanity has been abused in the worst way. Their hard-earned savings have been stolen by a con artist posing as a builder, with whom they engaged to provide them with an extension to their family home, so their wonderful family could have the room to flourish.

Pat & Rhian have lost a considerable sum of money to this despicable human being, leaving them unable to go ahead with their long-awaited extension and refurbishment to their family home. Not only has he stolen more than £30,000 from them by operating a fraud over many months, but he has now self-declared bankruptcy leaving them with no hope of recovering any money from this awful man.

I cannot bear to see them suffer in this way, their dreams of renovating their home shattered, and so whilst I know that they would never dream of asking anyone to do so, I have created this page so their friends can, if they are able to do so in these difficult times, leave a little contribution in a pot to help Pat & Rhian slowly get back to a position where they may in 2023 be able to proceed with making their home as amazing as they are as people.

Neither of them would want sympathy or charity, and they would say that there are people worse off than them in the world that deserve it more. I say they have been victims of a horrible crime and if their community can help them recover from that, just as I know they would help were the shoe on the other foot, it can only be a good thing.
