On March 10, 2020, we lost Patrick “Pat”,”OC” Micheal O’Connor, just 4 days shy of his 38th birthday.
Patrick’s life was tragically taken too soon while on a business trip in Gainesville, Florida due to a senseless act of violence.
Patrick was born in Buffalo, NY on March 14, 1982 at Mercy Hospital. Patrick spent the majority of his life in Western NY before relocating to the Florida Panhandle with his family in 2017. He leaves behind his wife whom was the love of his life; Christina “Chrissy” L. O’Connor and their three beautiful daughters Ainsleigh (10), Ashlyn (6) and Addison (3).
Patrick spent his early childhood growing up on a dairy farm in Machias, NY with his 3 brothers and 1 sister. He was a graduate of Ten Broeck Academy in Franklinville, NY, Class of 2000.
Immediately after high school graduation Patrick enlisted in the US Air Force to serve the country he loved with honor just like his father and Grandfather did prior.
This allowed Patrick to travel the world, spending time serving his country at the Spangdahlem Air Force Base in Germany, Osan Air Force Base in S. Korea, Beale Air Force Base in California, and Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina. During his time served, he achieved a rank of Staff Sargent A 10 Crew Chief and Expediter as well as receiving many metals and accommodations while working on the U2’s.
Upon discharge from the USAF in 2006, Patrick integrated his love for people, farming and mechanics into his calling in life in Agricultural sales; Which led him to Pottinger US, Inc., an agricultural equipment manufacturer, where he was the South East Regional Sales Manger.
Patrick was the sole provider for his family and his sudden death leaves an extreme emotional and financial strain on Chrissy and his girls.
A Celebration of Life Memorial for Patrick and Benefit for his family has been postponed until further notice. Please feel free to share your tales and adventures that always came with that beautiful smile and laugh here where all can read them and remember him and give to his family.
As indicated to me by the family, Miles Perry, Patrick's brother, is the estate POA
