Hafa Adai Family & Friends,

For those who weren't aware, my brother, fondly known to everyone as Pat, Pj or Patty was involved in a single-car accident in the early morning of Friday, October 28, 2022. When he arrived at GRMC, his condition was critical. He suffered a broken femur, dislocated right shoulder, damaged lungs and kidneys upon arrival. Among the most critical of his injuries, he suffered a tear in his aorta along the aortic arch which caused bleeding into his thoracic cavity. He was recently moved into the intensive care unit due to the severity of his injuries. His doctor informed the family that he would need open-heart surgery immediately. Guam currently does not have the right equipment to perform this type of surgery. There, Pj will need to be medevac off-island. There is no way of him flying through a commercial plane due to the intensive medical attention he will need while enroute to the nearest hospital to perform the surgery.

For those who didn't know my brother, he was always the type of person that was easy to interact with. He is such a outgoing person and someone who knew how to brighten just about everyones day with his jokes. For many who knew him personally, he would always be there for whoever needed him. My Family and I are doing everything we can to expedite Pj’s health insurance, but with his air transportation and his existing medical bills, my family and I can only do so much during these trying times. My family and I are humbly asking for any donations you can make. We understand if you are unable to donate especially during these difficult times. Most importantly, we kindly ask if you can keep my brother & family in your prayers.
