Patrick Needs a Little Help

Would you help me help Patrick?
I'm Pat O'Bryan, and I'm starting a fund raiser for my son, Patrick. He needs money to pay medical and living expenses while he recovers from surgery and other medical treatments.
Patrick and his wife, Amy, were rocking along in Chicago, where they walk dogs for a living. Then, Patrick was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called MEN1 Syndrome.
Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN1) is a hereditary condition associated with tumors of the endocrine (hormone producing) glands. The most common tumors seen in MEN1 involve the parathyroid gland, islet cells of the pancreas, and pituitary gland.
After a while, he was too sick to walk dogs.
Last October, I traveled to Chicago from Terlingua and stayed with Patrick and Amy to help them get through the initial medical treatments. I stayed a little over 3 months, driving Patrick to doctor's appointments, cooking healthy meals, and doing what I could to make their journey as pleasant as possible
While Patrick and I were at Cook County Stroger hospital, Amy was working double shifts walking dogs in the snow. She's still doing that, taking the bus from dog to dog. They can't pay their bills with just one salary.
I've helped them as much as I can. Now, I need your help helping them.
MEN1 is a treatable disorder. Although he'll need constant medical supervision, he should be able to live a fairly normal life.
He had one surgery to remove his parathyroid glands. He has multiple tumors on his pancreas, but they're not currently malignant and have not metastasized.
He will have to be monitored closely and may have to have another surgery to remove the tumors.
The good news is that he's on the mend, getting stronger every day. By May or June he should be able to go back to work.
In the meantime, although they live frugally, there are bills to pay and no money to pay them.
