Support for Patrick Nagel’s cancer journey

Hi, my name is Katrina and I’m creating this fundraiser along with my family for benefit of our Uncle Pat (Patrick Nagel).

Our family isn’t the type to ask for help often, but if there’s one thing we know, if we ever need help, Uncle Pat is one of the main people we can count on to always show up for us.

With that said, you can imagine our surprise to learn that our hard working/tree climbing/furniture building kind Uncle has developed stage 4 esophageal cancer January of this year. In true Uncle Pat fashion, he didn’t mention this to any of us right away as he hoped to quickly deal with it and get back to working/spending time outdoors and doing what he loves. Unfortunately, the tumor in Uncle Pats stomach/esophagus has blocked his ability to eat food normally and he currently has a port in his stomach that allows him to give himself nutritional drinks for sustainability. Uncle Pat has been going through weekly bouts of chemo at Roswell Park Cancer Institute of NY but has been informed as of his most recent visit that the chemo is not working and the cancer is spreading.

Now, Uncle Pat is undergoing a clinical trial.

Like his family, Uncle Pat is hopeful that this treatment will help and very optimistic that he will be feeling better soon. Until then, Uncle Pat is unable to work and on behalf of him and our family, any donations/well wishes and prayers to help him through these times would be greatly appreciated. We are firm believers that a positive outlook and prayers can make a big difference!
