After battling cancer for 6 years, Patrick transitioned to the universe peacefully on February 26 at 4:35pm. He was at home surrounded by family and his beloved cat; to the sounds of jazz and the waves of the Pacific Ocean. We miss him intensely.

Patrick's career was dedicated to education; he believed that education should be joyful, meaningful, and accessible for all students. He studied education at Sacramento State University and taught for 10 years in the Seaside School District. He then worked in college access through Clatsop Community College and Upward Bound / Educational Talent Search for 17 years before retiring.

In Patrick's memory, we wish to set up a scholarship fund for Seaside High School students. Any amount that is donated, no matter how small, is appreciated and will go toward the scholarship fund.
