Patrick kicks cancer in the balls… literally!

Hey all— My name is Brian Dowd. Patrick Dowd is my little brother and best friend. Very recently Patrick was diagnosed with Stage 3 Testicular Cancer. At this time it has spread to his lymph nodes and spleen. Patrick will be having a tumor removal surgery on June 21st. That surgery will be a 6-week recovery. Then he will have several rounds of chemo, and a possible second surgery to remove lymph nodes and his spleen. That second surgery will be done in Indiana, out of state.

At age 26 he has some big decisions to make, thinking into the future about the cost to have children, and what that looks like.

Patrick currently works as an electrician apprentice and will be out of work without the option of short-term disability until further notice.

Our first priority is to cover the missed paychecks to pay rent, bills, etc. Anything remaining will go towards medical bills and the process to have children in the future.

We will be sharing updates throughout this process. Please keep Patrick and our family in your prayers during these trying times. Any donations, no matter the size, are sincerely appreciated.
